Questions, answered.

What is Blue Dot?

Blue Dot is a travel journal and country tracker for iPhone, built around your own globe. Stamp the countries and cities you’ve visited, keep trips with photos and notes, save the places you dream of going, and send private postcards to friends.

How do I track the countries I’ve visited?

Each trip you take stamps its countries in your Passport once it begins. You can also stamp places you’ve already been without logging a trip, and your home country counts from the start.

Can Blue Dot find places I’ve been from my photos?

Yes. With your permission, Blue Dot reads when and where your photos were taken to find the countries you’ve visited and suggest past trips to log. The scan runs on your iPhone and never uploads your library. Very small countries may need to be added by hand.

Can I track more than countries?

Cities and US states are included. Blue Dot Pro adds collections like US national parks, iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites, world museums, ancient ruins, mountain peaks, and sports stadiums, plus custom trackers for your own places.

How do postcards work?

Choose a finished trip, pick a cover, and send it to friends you’ve connected with. Only the people you choose can open it. There’s no feed and no likes, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Is Blue Dot free?

Yes. Trips, stamps, postcards, the photo scan, and daily geography games are free. Blue Dot Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds more photos and videos per day, every globe skin, more collections, more widgets, and the game archive.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Apple or email so your trips and photos are backed up privately and your postcards can reach your friends.

Is Blue Dot available on iPad or Android?

No. Blue Dot is made for iPhone and needs iOS 17.6 or later. It’s currently in beta on TestFlight.

Some places stay with you.

Keep a little of them here.
